Job summary

TRUGlobal is seeking a Senior NetApp NAS Storage Engineer - L3 for onsite Bengaluru. The role focuses on end-to-end enterprise storage operations within a hybrid AWS cloud environment, requiring 10–15 years of experience and hands-on NetApp ONTAP CDOT expertise.

The candidate will manage ONTAP infrastructure, implement CIFS/NFS solutions, perform root-cause analyses, and collaborate with Linux, Cloud and Network teams in a 24/7 shift setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive NetApp ONTAP CDOT and CLI/GUI experience.
• Proficiency with CIFS/NFS, SVMs, SnapMirror/SnapVault, and dedup.
• Strong Linux CLI administration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage NetApp ONTAP infrastructure: upgrades, reconfiguration, patching, HA testing, and DR validation.
• Implement advanced CIFS/NFS solutions, including access control, replication, and performance tuning.
• Perform deep-dive diagnostics and root-cause analysis for storage and protocol issues in ONTAP CDOT environments.
• Manage NetApp FAS/AFF systems, SVMs, volumes, aggregates and snapshots.
• Implement automount/autofs integrated with LDAP/Kerberos.
• Engage in capacity planning, performance analysis, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage.
• Collaborate with Linux, Cloud, Backup (Commvault) and Network teams on cross-functional incidents.

Project Overview:

You will join an elite infrastructure engineering team supporting a global semiconductor manufacturing project. The focus is on end-to-end enterprise storage operations, enhancements, and complex issue resolution in a hybrid AWS cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex NetApp ONTAP infrastructure operations: upgrades, reconfiguration, patching, HA testing, and DR validation.
• Implement advanced CIFS/NFS solutions, including protocol optimization, access control, replication, and performance tuning.
• Perform deep-dive diagnostics and root cause analysis for system, storage, and protocol-level issues in ONTAP CDOT environments.
• Manage and configure NetApp FAS and AFF systems, Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs), volumes, aggregates, and snapshots.
• Implement and support automount/autofs setups integrated with enterprise authentication systems (LDAP, Kerberos).
• Engage in capacity planning, performance analysis, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Linux, Cloud, Backup (Commvault) and Network teams on cross-functional incidents and architecture alignment.

Technical Skills Required:

NetApp NAS & Storage Systems (Must-have):

• Hands on experience in NetApp ONTAP CDOT and CLI/GUI operations.
• Hands-on with CIFS, NFS, Vserver (SVM), SnapMirror, SnapVault, FlexClone, and deduplication features.
• Administration of FAS & AFF models, disk shelf configurations, cabling, and HA pairs.
• Storage provisioning, quota management, and multi-protocol data access configuration.

Linux (Exposure Required):

• Intermediate command-line administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Understanding of NFS mounts, autofs, LDAP integration, and SSH/NTP configurations.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
