Job summary

TeamLease Digital is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator for a client project in Noida. The role focuses on storage provisioning, SAN/NAS management, and ensuring robust backup and disaster recovery processes.

Ideal candidates will have 7–10 years of experience in storage administration and hands-on expertise with NetApp, EMC/Dell, and Hitachi platforms, along with backup tools such as Veritas NetBackup or Commvault.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of storage administration experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with LUN provisioning, volumes and Qtrees.
• Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS technologies and vendor platforms.
• Experience with backup, DR design and testing using industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and deallocate LUNs, volumes and Qtrees for servers and applications.
• Configure zoning, iSCSI, NFS and SMB across vendor platforms.
• Design, schedule and test backup policies and DR operations.
• Monitor storage performance, capacity and health and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Plan storage hardware refreshes and cross-site migrations with minimal downtime.

organization.

Storage Provisioning: Allocate and deallocate LUNs (Logical Unit Numbers), volumes, and Qtrees for servers and applications.

SAN & NAS Management: Configure and maintain fiber-channel zoning, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB protocols across vendor platforms like NetApp, EMC/Dell, and Hitachi.

Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design, schedule, and test backup policies, snapshots, snap-mirroring, and tape or cloud recovery operations (using tools like Veritas NetBackup or Commvault).

Performance Monitoring: Track storage capacity, latency, and system health while proactively resolving bottlenecks and hardware faults.

Data Migration & Upgrades: Plan and execute storage hardware refreshes, firmware updates, and cross-site migrations with minimal downtime.
