Job summary

StoneX Group Inc. is seeking an experienced .NET backend engineer to design, develop and test software solutions. You will contribute to a scalable microservice-based architecture and collaborate with teams to modernize the technology stack.

The role requires 5+ years of enterprise software experience, REST and gRPC services, and familiarity with Linux, React, Docker, and Kubernetes. You will work in an environment with 4 days in office per week and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C# and the modern .NET platform (Core/.NET 6+) for backend development.
• 5+ years of industry experience building enterprise grade software.
• Experienced in building REST APIs and gRPC services.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed requirement, design and code reviews to ensure thorough due diligence.
• Understand business requirements to design, develop and test effective solutions.
• Design, develop and test software changes following guidelines and best practices.
• Support continuous build and automated deployment processes.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

This role supports the Pricing/Market Data team by designing, developing, and testing key projects that strengthen pricing and risk management. You will contribute to strategic initiatives to modernize our technology stack into a scalable, microservice-based architecture, actively offering ideas and solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Primary Duties will include:

• Perform detailed requirement, design and code reviews to ensure thorough due diligence is applied.


• Understand individual business requirements in order to design, develop and test effective solutions.


• Understand and implement required development guidelines, design standards and best practices at all times.


• Understand in detail the business operational process both before and after the impact of any software changes.


• Take responsibility for analysis, design and development to ensure due diligence is applied consistently to all software changes.


• Ensure software releases support continuous build and automated deployment practices.


• Provide prompt and knowledgeable assistance to business continuity and platform operations whenever requested.


• Mentor junior engineers


• Work to identify risks and enhance control across the business.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

• Proficient in C# and the modern .NET platform (Core/.NET 6+) for backend development.


• 5+ years of industry experience building enterprise grade software.


• Experienced in building REST APIs and gRPC services.


• Comfortable with Linux command line for deployment and troubleshooting.


• Skilled in WPF for desktop applications and modern web frameworks such as React.


• Knowledge of messaging systems including ActiveMQ, Kafka, and Redpanda.


• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity.


• Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.


• Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Proficiency in English.


• Experience with 'React' or similar frameworks would be desirable
