Skynet Placements & Outsourcing Services seeks a Wi‑Fi security engineer with 5+ years in embedded Wi‑Fi firmware development and driver work. You will handle TCP/IP networking, wpa_supplicant/hostap integration, and on-device TLS/MQTT stacks, in a resource-constrained environment.

Focus areas include WPA2/WPA3 Personal and Enterprise security (PMF, 802.11w, 4‑way handshake) and interoperability testing with vendors, under RTOS (Zephyr) environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years in embedded WiFi firmware and driver development.
• Strong hands-on with WPA2/WPA3 security modes and PMF.
• Experience with RTOS and WiFi security debugging tools.

Responsabilités

• Develop and validate WiFi firmware drivers and wpa_supplicant/hostap integration.
• Handle TCP/IP networking (lwIP/Zephyr) on resource-constrained devices.
• Own and test WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise/Personal implementations end-to-end.
• Debug vendor interoperability using packet capture tools and RF analysis.
• Collaborate with field teams and customer IT staff in enterprise networks.

Position title Wi-Fi security engineer

Overall exp- 5+ years

Qualification Criteria - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Mandatory Skills –

• WiFi firmware development – driver, TCP/IP networking (lwIP/Zephyr/net stack/TLS/MQTT) in embedded environment.
• Implement and validate WPA2/WPA3-Personal security modes, Protected Management Frames (802.11w) implementation.
• WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise (802.1X/EAP-TLS) – ownership from supplicant configuration to certification.

Details JD-

• Strong proficiency in embedded WiFi firmware development: WiFi driver and wpa_supplicant/hostap integration, and TCP/IP networking (lwIP/Zephyr net stack, TLS, MQTT) on resource-constrained devices.
• In-depth knowledge of WiFi security and association mechanics: WPA2/WPA3-Personal (SAE), transition mode, PMF (802.11w), 4-way handshake, and scan/connect/reconnect behavior; hands-on WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise (802.1X/EAP-TLS) experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience debugging AP vendor interoperability issues (e.g., Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, Ruckus) using wireless packet capture tools (e.g., Wireshark or specialized sniffer equipment).
• Familiarity with enterprise/managed network environments (VLANs, RADIUS, captive portals, client isolation); healthcare IT environments a plus.
• Understanding of BLE/WiFi 2.4 GHz coexistence mechanisms and RF fundamentals.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with assembly language.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) programming and debug; Zephyr experience preferred.
• Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Strong logical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; comfortable interfacing with field teams and customer IT staff.
• Experience in NXP RW61x, Silicon Labs, or similar connectivity microcontrollers is preferred
