Job summary

JLL is seeking a Sustainability Engineer for our Net Zero Design Consulting team in India. You will contribute to shaping sustainable real estate by analysing energy performance, developing thermal models, and guiding retrofit and asset improvement projects.

Join a diverse team delivering NZC-focused solutions, aligning with ESG goals, and expanding expertise in tools like OneClickLCA and BRREAM/LEED through practical client engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience in building energy performance analysis and NZC.
• Familiarity with BRREAM/LEED, Part L and EPCs.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis.
• Experience with OneClickLCA is a plus.
• Ability to present data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review existing buildings using site surveys and energy data to quantify energy performance.
• Create detailed thermal models for NZC with engineering and architectural inputs.
• Build more complex models at system component level when needed.
• Analyse opportunities to improve building performance and energy efficiency.
• Develop building performance metrics and life-cycle assessments.
• Undertake whole life carbon assessments using OneClickLCA.
• Maintain strong Excel analysis and clear data presentation.

We guide our clients through the evolving landscape of sustainability, to deliver their retrofit, fit-out or property transaction in accordance with their ESG goals and industry-leading practice. What this job involves

• Reviewing existing buildings from site surveys, as built information, energy data and research; and quantify a building’s key energy performance factors
• Creating detailed thermal models to define a building’s engineering and architectural requirements for NZC
• Where necessary building more complex model to system component level, such as Apache HVAC in IES
• Some experience of compliance modelling for BRREAM/LEED, Part L and EPCs
• Analysing a building’s engineering and building fabric factors to determine opportunities to improve performance
• Aligning building analysis to consider related European building regulation issues associated with building performance
• Developing building performance metrics to compensate where limited or no information is available
• Undertake whole life carbon assessments using OneClickLCA. Training can be provided as required
• Strong excel skills to help with analysis. An ability to present data clearly and effectively is a key requirement
