Job summary

BNY in Pune, MH is seeking a Senior Specialist, External Reporting to join our GFCOE Finance – External Reporting team. Hybrid role based in Pune, with responsibilities across regulatory returns, analytics and MI for APAC/EMEA/US regions.

You will prepare/review daily and monthly regulatory reports, manage end-of-period submissions, maintain controls, and support stakeholders with regulatory reporting requirements. CA/CMA/CFA with 2–3 years finance experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• CA/CMA/CFA with 2–3 years of finance experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong finance and capital markets knowledge.
• Experience with large, complex datasets and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality regulatory returns, analytics and MI for APAC/EMEA/US.
• Prepare/review daily and monthly statistical regulatory reports with accuracy.
• Manage monthly/quarterly regulatory reports (US Call, Deposit & Loans) and ad hoc requests.
• Maintain strong controls with evidence-based reviews and procedures.
• Collaborate with regional market centre financial controller owners and manage escalations.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments and share knowledge with junior colleagues.
• Support projects like platform migrations, legal entity restructurings and new branches.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, External Reporting to join our GFCOE Finance – External Reporting team. This role is located in Pune, MH - HYBRID.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Reporting – production of high-quality regulatory returns, analytics and MI in a timely fashion, ensuring that the APAC, EMEA & US region meets reporting deadlines and quality expectations. Primary focus of role with be the monthly and quarterly branches returns.

1. Preparation / Review of daily, monthly Statistical regulatory reports with high level of accuracy and performing monetary checks which gets submitted to Regulators
2. Monthly and other quarter end Regulatory reports including US Call reports, Deposit & Loans reports. Further to manage the ad hoc requests and stakeholder queries independently.

• Oversight & Controls – maintain a strong operational control environment with well-evidenced reviews, checklists and procedures. Where deficiencies are identified, the jobholder will be responsible for designing and implementing a new control.
• Stakeholder management – Work with market centre financial controller owners across the regions and manage escalations in accordance with the Regulatory Reporting operating Model.
• Knowledge – Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments, as well as maintain their knowledge of External Reporting requirements and procedures.Help junior colleagues build their abilities through knowledge share / training.
• Other – assist with the provision of regulatory support for relevant projects e.g., new regulatory reporting production requirements and platform migration, legal entity restructuring and new branches, new business start-ups and product launches. Perform other functions as required from time-to-time.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, CFA with 2-3 years of experience in any Finance domain.
• Must be a detail-oriented with sound knowledge on Finance, Accounting, Capital market.
• Experience of working with large, complex datasets to produce high quality, well controlled outputs is preferred.
• Fair experience of accounting systems and processes (e.g., advanced user of excel)
• Organized and structured working methodology, attention to detail and highly motivated
• Technical Acumen and preferably knowing automation tools Power Query
