Job summary

Merck in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced SAP EHS Leader to own the end-to-end lifecycle of SAP Environment, Health and Safety applications. You will gather requirements, design solutions, deliver releases, and provide ongoing support, ensuring compliance and high service performance.

You will lead cross-functional teams across product safety, hazardous substances, global label management, and dangerous goods management, with a focus on integration with ERP processes and master data

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or application services with 3+ years international experience.
• Deep SAP EHS functionality knowledge incl. product safety, hazardous substances, global label management.
• Strong understanding of ERP integration and master data governance.
• Proficient in change, release, and incident management; able to lead cross-functional teams.
• English fluency; German is a plus.

Requirements

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or bring equivalent professional experience in enterprise application management.
• You have at least 8 years of experience in software or application services, including a minimum of 3 years working within an international environment.
• You bring expert-level knowledge of SAP Environment, Health and Safety functionality, including product safety, substance volume tracking, hazardous substance master data, global label management, and dangerous goods management.
• You have solid experience in SAP cross-application areas and a good understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning integration, including order-to-cash processes and master data governance for materials.
• You are proficient in change, release, and incident management processes, with the ability to lead critical issue resolution and coordinate across technical and business stakeholders independently.
• You have a working understanding of ABAP, including debugging, and can effectively support technical teams with development activities such as reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• You communicate clearly and confidently in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German is an advantage.
• You are familiar with labeling technologies and third-party Environment, Health and Safety applications; knowledge of Standard Operating Procedure governance and audit compliance processes is a plus.
