Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking a Senior Specialist Category Procurement to lead sourcing strategy for indirect spend in India. You will partner with business stakeholders and global teams to deliver value, drive cost savings, and ensure compliance across RFQ/RFP/RFX processes.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and hands-on experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems. Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

• This role requires at least 8 years of procurement experience with indirect procurement and strategic sourcing.
• Experience in RFQ/RFP/RFX processes, supplier negotiations, and stakeholder management is essential.

How will you fit in the big picture?

Thisposition serves as the procurement business partner for Hershey India and leads sourcing strategy development and execution across indirect spend categories. This role drives sourcing excellence, supplier value creation, cost savings, compliance, and process optimization while partnering with business stakeholders and global procurement teams to deliver business value.

What will you do?

• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and competitive bidding processes.
• Manage RFQ, RFP, and RFX procurement activities.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and contract management activities.
• Drive productivity, cost savings, and cash improvement initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and sourcing opportunities.
• Lead supplier performance management and governance activities.
• Promote procurement policy awareness and compliance.
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to improve sourcing effectiveness.
• Collaborate with global procurement teams and subject matter experts on category strategies and best practices.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of procurement experience with strong expertise in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, RFQ/RFP/RFX processes, services sourcing, supplier negotiations, stakeholder management, SAP or equivalent ERP systems, and leading cross-functional sourcing initiatives.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree.
