MSD Malaysia in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Specialist, AEM DAM Developer (AEM Assets) to own configuration, extensibility, and integration of AEM Assets, building scalable DAM workflows and APIs for governed digital asset operations.
You will design metadata schemas, content fragments, workflows, and integrations with PromoMats/MLR, CDP, Adobe Express, and Workfront, while extending UI with App Builder and React and ensuring governance with AI-generated content checks across the Adobe ecosystem.

Digital Human Health (DHH) connects technology, data, and people to enable and accelerate Human Health business across global markets. DHH supports commercial and medical teams by delivering customer-centric digital platforms, data capabilities, and technology-enabled operating models that enable flexible go-to-market approaches, actionable insights, and personalized customer experiences in a regulated environment. Within DHH, the Content Creation and Storage engineering capability builds the DAM foundation on AEM Assets and integrates it with GenAI authoring, design systems, and downstream channels.
Own technical configuration, extensibility, and integration of AEM Assets—building scalable DAM workflows, custom components, and APIs that enable governed, intelligent digital asset operations and connected content delivery across the Adobe ecosystem.
Design DAM configurations (schemas, taxonomy, permissions, processing profiles) and build structured content models (Content Fragments). Develop custom workflows and OSGi services to automate processing, metadata enrichment, validation, and lifecycle management. Build integrations between AEM Assets and adjacent platforms (PromoMats/MLR, CDP, Adobe Express, Workfront) using APIs and Adobe I/O. Extend AEM Assets/Content Hub UI via App Builder/React; implement governance overlays including AI-generated content identification and C2PA-based logic.
DAM Configuration & Architecture Design and implement AEM Assets configurations including metadata schemas, taxonomy structures, folder hierarchies, permission models, and processing profiles. Build and maintain Content Fragment models for structured content use cases including claims management and omnichannel delivery. Configure asset processing workflows for rendition generation, smart crop, and format transformation. Establish DAM governance standards in collaboration with Business Analyst and Asset Management Specialist.
Develop custom AEM workflow components and OSGi services (Java) to automate asset processing, metadata enrichment, validation, and lifecycle management. Build event-driven integrations using Adobe I/O Events to trigger cross-system actions based on asset state changes. Develop custom UI extensions using Adobe App Builder and React for AEM Assets/Content Hub interfaces, including governance overlays. Implement metadata-driven and C2PA-based detection logic to identify and surface AI-generated content.
Design and build integrations between AEM Assets and adjacent platforms including PromoMats/MLR systems, CDP, Adobe Express, and Adobe Workfront. Develop API-based connections using AEM HTTP Assets API and Adobe I/O for asset/metadata exchange. Support integration of approved claims as content fragments sourced from MLR review for downstream omnichannel use.
Develop Adobe Express Add-ons to extend template workflows, including automated governance layer injection when flagged assets are used. Support integration of AEM Assets as a content source within Adobe Express for template-driven creation.
Operate and maintain AEM Assets in AEMaaCS, including Cloud Manager pipelines and deployment operations. Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance optimizations. Contribute to roadmap by evaluating Adobe releases, extensibility updates, and emerging capabilities across the Adobe Stack.
Stable, scalable DAM foundation with governed schemas, workflows, and permissions. Automation and integrations that reduce manual operations and improve content lifecycle throughput. Extensible UI and governance overlays improving compliance and user experience. Reliable AEMaaCS operations and secure, maintainable release pipelines.
Education Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Experience 7–8+ years of hands-on AEM development experience with focus on AEM Assets, workflows, and integrations. Proficiency in Java (OSGi/Sling) for backend AEM development. Experience with AEM workflow development and process automation. Experience with REST API development and integration patterns. Familiarity with Maven-based AEM project structure and Git-based version control. Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and Adobe Cloud Manager.
Experience with Adobe App Builder and Adobe I/O extensibility framework. Front-end development experience with React and Adobe Spectrum UI. Experience with Adobe Express Add-on SDK. Familiarity with Content Fragments and AEM GraphQL API. Knowledge of C2PA/content provenance standards. Experience integrating AEM with martech platforms (CDP, DAM, PIM, MLR systems) and exposure to GenAI tooling in Adobe ecosystem.
