Job summary

Simple Energy is seeking a Senior Sourcing Engineer for its Bangalore operations. You will own commodity strategies for Electrical peripherals, Thermal systems, and Consumables, driving supplier relationships, localization, and cost optimization across programs.

Responsibilities include strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, supplier development, and risk management, with leadership across cross-functional teams and senior management interface. 2–5 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical engineering; MBA preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in sourcing and commodity management.
• Leadership competencies: strategic thinking, negotiation, stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own complete commodity strategy, supplier relationships, localization, and cost optimization.
• Manage Electrical Peripherals, Thermal, and Consumables categories with formal governance.
• Conduct Should Cost Analysis, value engineering, and commercial negotiations.
• Lead supplier development, audits, and quarterly business reviews.
• Oversee NPD sourcing, PPAP, APQP tracking, and SOP readiness.
• Mitigate risk with supply continuity planning and alternate sourcing.
