Job summary

RMZ in Navi Mumbai seeks a senior Data Centre Solution Architect to lead end-to-end HPC/AI solutions for AI training and inference. You will size GPU clusters, plan network fabrics, and ensure cooling and power readiness within colocation spaces.

Deliver technical proposals and defend designs to executives in client workshops. The role requires 10–15 years in data centre design and hands-on NVIDIA GPU/InfiniBand experience, plus NCP certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in data centre solution architecture, pre-sales engineering or design consulting.
• Hands-on GPU and InfiniBand experience: NVIDIA HGX/DGX-class cluster architecture, InfiniBand (NDR/HDR) and RoCE fabric design.
• NVIDIA Certified Professional (NCP) architecture certification – e.g. NCP AI Infrastructure or NCP InfiniBand; alternative credentials considered.
• Deep colocation solutioning expertise: MV/LV power distribution, UPS and redundancy topologies, cooling systems.
• Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards, TIA-942 and ASHRAE guidelines; Indian power/regulatory context.

Responsibilities

• Lead client requirement discovery workshops with CIO/CTO and infra teams to capture workloads, density, power, cooling, network and growth.
• Architect end-to-end HPC/AI solutions for training and inference environments.
• Size GPU compute clusters, map storage throughput and network fabrics to colocation space.
• Develop space/rack layouts, power topologies, cooling strategies including rear-door exchangers and direct-to-chip cooling.
• Prepare proposals, BOMs, technical proposals and respond to RFP/RFI with clear defense to executives.

Job description

• Client requirement discovery: lead workshops with client CIO/CTO and infrastructure teams to capture workloads, density profiles, power and cooling needs, network, interconnection and sovereignty requirements, and growth phasing
• HPC/AI solution design: architect end-to-end solutions for AI training and inference environments
• GPU compute cluster sizing and topology, storage throughput, and high-performance network fabrics mapped onto colocation space, power and cooling.
• Colocation engineering design: develop space and rack layouts, power topologies (N / N+1 / 2N), and cooling strategies including rear-door heat exchangers and direct-to-chip liquid cooling for 30–130 kW racks.– GPU & InfiniBand architecture: define rack-scale and pod-scale designs for NVIDIA HGX/DGX-class systems, including InfiniBand and RoCE fabric topologies (rail-optimised, fat-tree), cable plant planning and density zoning.
• Proposals & RFPs: author solution documents, BOMs, technical proposals and RFP/RFI responses; present and defend designs to client executive and engineering audiences.
• Techno-commercial support: partner with the commercial team on capacity pricing, fit-out scope splits (shell / powered shell / fully fitted), phasing and SLAs.
• Build alignment: work with the DC Infrastructure arm to ensure designs are buildable, costed and aligned to campus master plans.
• Strategic support: lead technical due diligence for anchor tenants and JV partners; mentor junior solution architects and build the solution engineering playbook.

Essential qualifications & experience (must-have)

• 10–15 years in data centre solution architecture, pre-sales engineering or design consulting, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to HPC/AI solution design – designing, dimensioning and deploying GPU compute environments for AI training and inference workloads.
• Hands-on GPU and InfiniBand experience: NVIDIA HGX/DGX-class cluster architecture, InfiniBand (NDR/HDR) and RoCE fabric design, NVLink/NVSwitch awareness, and the facility implications ofdense GPU deployment (power, heat rejection, cabling).
• NVIDIA Certified Professional (NCP) architecture certification – e.g. NCP AI Infrastructure (NCP-AII) and/or NCP InfiniBand (NCP-IB); equivalent NVIDIA data centre architecture credentials considered with certification expected within the first six months.
• Deep colocation solutioning expertise: MV/LV power distribution, UPS and redundancy topologies (N / N+1 / 2N), chilled water, DX, rear-door heat exchanger and direct-to-chip liquid cooling systems, space planning and rack layout.– Proven client-facing record: requirement discovery workshops, solution documents and BOMs, executive presentations, and RFP/RFI leadership.
• Working knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards, TIA-942 and ASHRAE thermal guidelines, plus the Indian power and regulatory context (power procurement, open access, DISCOM engagement).
• Ability to build techno-commercial models with the revenue team: capacity pricing, phasing and fit-out scope.– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or related engineering discipline.
