Job summary

Vontier is seeking a seasoned Mobile QA Engineer to ensure quality of our production Android and iOS apps, with emphasis on the driver portal experience and end-to-end mobile/web workflows.

You will own hands-on testing across platforms, implement risk-based test strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust mobile solutions. Strong debugging and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on mobile QA on Android and iOS production apps.
• Strong native-platform awareness across Android API fragmentation and iOS 15+ background-refresh non-determinism.
• Driver Portal QA experience or willingness to span across mobile and web so you cover the full driver journey.
• Multi-tenant / multi-flavour parametric testing; write tests once and parameterise.
• Risk-based test depth—knowing when to use 30 cases vs 8 plus exploratory testing.
• Comfortable testing RESTful APIs and reading mobile network traces (client/server‑side awareness).
• Bug triage with clean repro—steps, environment, logs, severity, blast radius.
• Self-starter, quick learner, able to work independently across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Cover the full driver journey testing across mobile (Android/iOS) and web where needed.
• Apply risk-based testing depth and parametric testing approaches to ensure coverage.
• Triage bugs with clear repro steps, logs, severity, and blast radius.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality in shipped apps.

• Strong native‑platform awareness: Android API 24 → 34+ fragmentation, iOS 15+ background‑refresh non‑determinism, deep‑link routing, push notifications, offline behaviour, biometric auth, lifecycle edge cases.
• Driver Portal / web QA experience — or a strong willingness to span. We don't split testers by platform; you cover the full driver journey.
• Multi‑tenant / multi‑flavour parametric testing. You don't write a case four times; you write it once and parametrise.
• Risk‑based test depth — you know when 30 cases is right and when 8 plus exploratory is right.
• Comfortable testing RESTful APIs and reading mobile network traces — both client‑ and server‑side awareness.
• Bug triage with clean repro — steps, environment, logs, severity, blast radius. Strong analytical and root‑cause skills under pressure.
• Self‑starter, quick learner, comfortable working independently across cross‑functional teams.
