Job summary

Optum India is seeking a Senior Architect to lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale AI-powered, cloud-native solutions. You will shape technical strategy, set standards for scalable, secure systems, and mentor engineers across software, AI/ML, and DevSecOps disciplines.

This role requires 10+ years of software engineering and deep Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AI platform experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science or similar field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with architecture responsibilities.
• Deep experience with Azure Public Cloud, Kubernetes, and IaC.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale AI-powered and cloud-native solutions
• Drive adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI/ML platforms, and automation capabilities across the organization
• Define technical strategy, architecture standards, and engineering best practices for scalable, secure, and resilient systems
• Architect and optimize solutions leveraging Azure Public Cloud services and modern platform engineering principles
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving software engineering, AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction through architecture reviews, innovation, and engineering excellence
• Drive operational excellence through automation, observability, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to translate strategic objectives into technology solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science or similar field
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated architecture and technical leadership responsibilities
• Deep experience with Azure Public Cloud, cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale CI/CD, DevSecOps, and platform engineering solutions
• Solid expertise in AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG frameworks, and AI platform development
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions across multiple teams
• Solid communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and mentoring skills
