Job summary

Optum India is seeking an experienced Senior AI Architect to design and deliver cloud-native AI platforms, including Generative and Agentic AI solutions, while owning the full lifecycle from design to production support.

You will mentor engineers, define engineering standards, and collaborate with product, security, and governance teams to ensure compliant and responsible AI deployments in a global care ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in AI/ML and related degrees.

Primary Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deliver scalable, secure, cloud-native AI platforms
• Lead development of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, including multi-agent systems
• Own end-to-end AI service lifecycle: design, development, deployment, performance tuning, and production support
• Define and enforce AI engineering standards, evaluation frameworks, and observability practices
• Perform deep performance profiling, optimization, and reliability improvements for backend AI systems
• Collaborate with product, architecture, security, and governance teams to ensure compliant and responsible AI
• Mentor senior and junior engineers; provide technical guidance and design reviews
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for AI adoption across teams

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience, 4+ years of AI/ML and B.Tech / B.E./ M.E/ M.Tech/ MCA
