Job summary

OmniDimension is building an AI-powered Voice AI platform used by developers and enterprises globally. We seek a Senior Software Engineer who has built real-time systems at scale and will own features end-to-end across orchestration, telephony, and agentic AI layers.

You will work on production-grade systems, manage latency and reliability, and collaborate across backend, services, and frontend to deliver complete solutions in a fast-growing global environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack development, primarily Python backend.
• Experience operating systems at real production scale with 1,000+ live users/high-concurrency infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to scale individual features under heavy load.
• Strong knowledge of telephony protocols (SIP, RTP, WebRTC) and integration with providers like Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, or Vonage.
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks and multi-agent architectures, and awareness of the current AI/LLM landscape.
• Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
• Experience deploying and operating services on AWS (or comparable cloud).

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new features across the core voice platform - orchestration, bulk calling, telephony, WhatsApp, and chat.
• Scale individual features and services for high concurrency and traffic; optimize load handling and degrade gracefully under pressure.
• Diagnose and fix complex production issues quickly and implement guardrails to prevent recurrence.
• Work on real-time telephony infrastructure: call routing, SIP/RTP/WebRTC, PSTN, media processing, and STT/TTS/LLM pipelines.
• Develop and improve agentic systems - agent orchestration, multi-agent workflows, state management, tool use, and agent memory.
• Strengthen observability, reliability, and redundancy - logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, retries, and failover.
• Optimize latency, reliability, and cost across live call flows; evaluate and integrate new AI models and infrastructure.
• Own components end-to-end and collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions.

Who We are Looking For

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has already built and operated real-time systems at scale and wants to go deep at the intersection of Voice AI, telephony, and agentic AI. You've felt the pain of keeping a high-traffic product alive, you know how to make a single feature hold up when it suddenly has to serve 10x the load, and you're genuinely plugged into where the AI space is heading.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role on the core Voice AI platform - the orchestration, bulk calling, telephony, and messaging layers that thousands of live customer calls run through every day. You'll own features end-to-end: designing them, shipping them, scaling them, and keeping them healthy in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship new features across the core voice platform - orchestration, bulk calling, telephony, WhatsApp, and chat.
• Scale individual features and services for high concurrency and traffic: load handling, caching, connection management, and graceful degradation under pressure.
• Diagnose and fix complex production issues fast - find the root cause, ship the fix, and add the guardrail so the same class of problem doesn't recur.
• Work on real-time telephony infrastructure: call routing, SIP/RTP/WebRTC, PSTN, media processing, and STT/TTS/LLM pipelines.
• Build and improve agentic systems - agent orchestration, multi-agent workflows, state management, tool use, and agent memory.
• Strengthen observability, reliability, and redundancy - logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, retries, and failover.
• Optimize for latency, reliability, and cost across live call flows.
• Evaluate and integrate new AI models, frameworks, and infrastructure as the space moves.
• Own your components end-to-end and collaborate closely with senior engineers on the harder architectural calls.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack development, primarily Python backend (modern frontend a plus).
• Proven experience operating systems at real production scale - 1,000+ live users / high-concurrency infrastructure.
• Deep, demonstrated ability to scale individual features - not just theory, but having taken a specific feature or service and made it hold up under heavy, growing load.
• Strong knowledge of telephony protocols - SIP, RTP, WebRTC, PSTN - and integration with providers like Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, or Vonage.
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks and multi-agent architectures, and genuine awareness of the current AI / LLM landscape.
• Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar): schema design, indexing, query optimization.
• Solid experience deploying and operating services on AWS (or comparable cloud).
• A proven track record of debugging under production pressure and a real ownership mindset.

Highly Desired Skills

• Experience integrating STT / TTS / ASR systems.
• Familiarity with data streaming and real-time technologies (Kafka, WebSockets).
• Experience evaluating, fine-tuning, or monitoring LLMs.
• Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, OpenTelemetry).
• CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and containerization (Docker).
• Proficiency with React / React Native for frontend or mobile work.
