OmniDimension is building an AI-powered platform for developers and enterprises across 150+ countries to deploy reliable Voice AI agents. We seek a Principal Software Engineer and Architect to own the hardest problems and scale systems far beyond today. You will work at the intersection of Voice AI, telephony, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience with Python backend.

We’re seeking a driven, passionate Principal Software Engineer and Architect with a doer mindset who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You love coding, solving hard problems, and seeing your work in action across thousands of daily customer interactions.You are someone who:

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve highly scalable, distributed systems capable of handling very high concurrency and traffic.
• Solve complex production issues involving concurrency, latency, reliability, distributed state, networking, databases, and infrastructure.
• Quickly diagnose failures under production pressure, identify the root cause, implement fixes, and ensure the same class of issue does not happen again.
• Own systems end-to-end, from architecture and database design to deployment, observability, scaling, and incident response.
• Design systems for horizontal and incremental scaling, traffic distribution, load balancing, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation.
• Optimize systems for high throughput, low latency, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Design efficient database models, partitioning strategies, indexing, caching, replication, and distributed database architectures.
• Work extensively with AWS services and understand how to architect and scale them for production workloads.
• Work on real-time Voice AI and telephony infrastructure, including call routing, SIP/RTP, media processing, STT, TTS, LLMs, and real-time pipelines.
• Evaluate and integrate new AI models, frameworks, infrastructure, and research releases quickly.
• Design and build AI agentic systems, including agent orchestration, state management, tool use, and agent memory.
• Understand and contribute to open-source model deployment, inference infrastructure, GPU utilization, model serving, and what is required to operate models reliably at scale.
• Establish strong engineering practices around observability, reliability, security, testing, deployment, and incident prevention.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience (Python backend, modern frontend frameworks).
• Proven expertise in architecting and deploying scalable microservices and cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proven expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), including stress testing, performance benchmarking, monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Hands-on experience in Voice AI / Conversational AI, including integration with platforms like Twilio, Telenyx, or Vonage.
• Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar).
• Deployment and Code Strategy: Define and own CI/CD strategy, championing best practices for automated testing, blue-green/canary deployments.
• Hands-on experience with performance optimization and monitoring of AI-driven systems.

Highly Desired Skills

• Prior experience fine-tuning and evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs) and building robust monitoring pipelines.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience integrating Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) systems.
• Proficiency with Native/React Native frameworks for frontend/mobile development.
• Familiarity with data streaming technologies (Kafka, WebSockets).
• Prior experience in building and shipping AI/ML systems at scale.
