Job summary

Hero Vired is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (AI/ML) to design, deploy, and scale AI-driven solutions across products and internal functions. You will collaborate with product managers, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to translate real-world challenges into production-ready AI applications.

You will prototype rapidly, deploy solutions using LLMs, RAG, and state-of-the-art AI technologies, and own end-to-end delivery from data mapping to hand-off.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience (Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript).
• Experience with voice AI speech-to-text and TTS, latency optimization.
• Experience building search and retrieval systems (embeddings, RAG, hybrid search).
• Experience with LLM application development and agent orchestration.
• Proficiency in REST APIs/GraphQL and integrating third-party systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and production debugging.
• Solid understanding of system design and architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to design, build, and deploy voice AI and search solutions end to end.
• Scope customer use cases, gather requirements, map data and systems, define success metrics.
• Build and deploy voice AI solutions (conversational agents, STT/TTS/telephony pipelines, realtime streaming).
• Design and implement search and retrieval systems (RAG, semantic + hybrid search).
• Own end-to-end delivery: prototype, integrate, deploy, tune, and hand off.
• Integrate solutions with customer systems (CRMs, telephony, databases, APIs, webhooks).
• Debug and optimize deployments in production (latency, accuracy, reliability, cost).
• Run POCs and pilots, iterate on customer feedback; serve as technical POC lead.

We are looking for a highly motivated Forward Deployed Engineer (AI/ML) who can work at the intersection of AI, engineering, and business to design, deploy, and scale AI-driven solutions across our products and internal business functions.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Data Science, and business stakeholders to understand real-world challenges, rapidly prototype AI

solutions, and deploy production-ready applications using modern AI and Machine Learning technologies. This role requires a combination of strong software engineering skills, practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to design, build, and deploy voice AI and search solutions end to end.
• Scope customer use cases gather requirements, map their data and systems, and define success metrics.
• Build and deploy voice AI solutions (conversational agents, STT/TTS/telephony pipelines, realtime streaming), and tune them for latency and quality.
• Design and implement search and retrieval systems (RAG, semantic and hybrid search, re rankers) over customer data and knowledge bases.
• Own end-to-end delivery: prototype, integrate, deploy, tune, and hand off.
• Integrate solutions with customer systems (CRMs, telephony, databases, APIs, and webhooks).
• Debug and optimize deployments in production (latency, accuracy, reliability, and cost).
• Run POCs and pilots, and iterate rapidly on customer feedback.
• Serve as the technical point of contact and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Feed field learnings back into the core product and build reusable tooling from recurring patterns.
• Onboard and train customer teams on the deployed solutions.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience (Python and/or Node.js / TypeScript).
• Hands-on experience with voice AI speech-to-text, text-to-speech, real-time / streaming audio, telephony, and latency optimization.
• Experience building search and retrieval systems — embeddings, vector search, RAG, re rankers, and hybrid (semantic + keyword) search.
• Experience with LLM application development — prompt engineering, tool / function calling, and agent orchestration.
• Proficiency in REST APIs / GraphQL, and integrating third-party systems (webhooks, data pipelines).
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and debugging in production.
• Solid understanding of system design and architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management — able to run technical conversations with both engineers and business owners.
• Strong customer-facing presence, with the ability to build trust and manage expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, solutions engineer, or in implementation / delivery / sales engineering.
• Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, Temporal, Google ADK, or AG2).
• Familiarity with vector databases and search infrastructure (Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch).
• Exposure to voice / telephony platforms (Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Telnyx, or similar).
• Indic / multilingual (Hindi / Hinglish) voice or search experience.
• Domain background in sales-tech, EdTech, or conversational AI.
• Experience turning customer deployments into reusable frameworks and tooling.
• Prior experience in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Open-source contributions or technical blogging.
