Job summary

Motorola Solutions India seeks a senior embedded developer with strong C/C++ in Linux, RTOS, and device drivers to design and optimize embedded systems for VoIP and client/server platforms.

You will lead and mentor peers, work across multicore architectures, and apply debugging tools like GDB and Valgrind to ensure performance and reliability.

Job Title: C/C++ Senior Embedded Developer

Primary Roles and Key Responsibilities:

• Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills in a Linux environment.
• Experience in embedded software development, Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and
• Device Drivers
• Experience in Multi-threaded software development for Multicore Architectures.
• Experience in VOIP application development, preferably on client/server platforms.
• Understanding of system performance and scaling
• Excellent problem solving/debugging skills,Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug.
• Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
• Working experience in Linux environment and knowledge of Linux commands.
• Good hands-on in problem solving and debugging tools like GDB, profiling tools like
• Valgrind.
• Proficient in using Make and CMake for building and managing large-scale C++ projects, including writing custom build scripts and managing complex dependency trees.

Nice to have Skills:

• Good understanding of TCP and UDP protocols, good to have RTP, RTCP protocols
• Familiarity with source control tools like SVN and Git, and project tracking tools like Jira
• Having a knowledge of audio codecs like G711, G722, Opus is a plus.
• Experience in VoIP, telecom, or IoT platforms is a plus.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical
• Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
• Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.S/MCA.) in a relevant field is a plus.
• Strong academic foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and computer architecture is highly desirable
