Job summary

Chalhoub Group in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced ecommerce engineer specialized in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/ Demandware) to design, build, test, and operate complex storefronts. You will own end-to-end implementation with SFRA, ISML, and OCAPI/SCAPI, delivering high-quality, scalable ecommerce solutions.

You will develop full-stack functionality using JavaScript, Node.js, REST/GraphQL, and headless approaches, while ensuring code quality through testing and reviews.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on ecommerce engineering experience on SFCC (Demandware) with SFRA.
• Strong proficiency in ISML, OCAPI/SCAPI, cartridges, jobs and services, Page Designer, and Business Manager.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, and CI/CD practices.
• SFCC Architect Certificate required; OMS/ERP/WMS integrations preferred.
• Experience with Claude Code for AI-assisted development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, integrate, and operate enterprise ecommerce solutions on SFCC using SFRA.
• Develop with ISML, OCAPI/SCAPI, cartridges, jobs/services, and ensure site go-live.
• Build full-stack functionality with JavaScript, Node.js, APIs, and headless commerce.
• Maintain code quality with unit/functional/regression testing and code reviews.
• Support deployments, resolve production issues, and improve CI/CD and performance.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance; collaborate with OMS/ERP/WMS integrations.

What you'll be doing

Work fully hands-on to design, build, test, integrate, and operate enterprise ecommerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) using SFRA, owning complex implementation and code quality while providing technical guidance to other engineers.

• Design, build, test, integrate, and operate enterprise ecommerce solutions hands-on on SFCC (Demandware) using Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA).

• Develop using ISML, OCAPI/SCAPI, cartridges, jobs and services, Page Designer, Slots, and Business Manager administration, including SFCC site go-live.

• Build full-stack functionality with JavaScript, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, and headless commerce across the ecommerce space.

• Own code quality through unit, functional, and regression testing and code review, and perform technical troubleshooting.

• Provide deployment support, production issue resolution, and release reliability across CI/CD, optimizing web performance and CDN/caching.

• Deliver dependably on time and provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.

• Support OMS/ERP/WMS and SFSC/SFMC integrations.

• Use Claude Code for AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on ecommerce engineering experience, working full-stack and primarily on SFCC (Demandware) using SFRA.

• Strong proficiency in ISML, OCAPI/SCAPI, cartridges, jobs and services, Page Designer, Slots, Business Manager administration, and Einstein, with SFCC site go-live experience, cartridges, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, and Business Manager administration.

• Strong Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, headless commerce, web performance, CDN/caching, and CI/CD across the ecommerce space.

• Strong unit, functional, and regression testing, code review, and technical troubleshooting skills, with a technical mentoring capability.

• SFCC Architect Certificate required, with OMS/ERP/WMS and SFSC/SFMC integration experience; familiarity with Claude Code for AI-assisted development.

• Strong skills in JavaScript, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, and full-stack web development across backend and frontend.

• Deep understanding of SFCC concepts like Catalog, Products, Campaigns, Promotions, Customer Groups, RESTful API development and JSON

• Knowledge of Pipelines, JS Controllers, Demandware Script, and ISML Templates

• Hands-on experience with Pod migrations and other maintenance activities in SFCC

• Familiarity with Claude Code for AI-assisted development.
