Job summary

Trading Technologies in India seeks a Service Reliability Engineer to evolve and optimize a high‑performance core trading platform. You will balance maintaining legacy systems with engineering for performance and memory optimizations using C++17 and data‑oriented design.

You will collaborate with fellow engineers to improve telemetry, logging, and real‑time monitoring, apply systems‑level design patterns, and contribute to a robust, low‑latency trading infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Substantial professional experience with C++17 or higher.
• Software development with data-oriented design.
• Linux systems‑level development for real‑time software (lock‑free/wait‑free).
• GDB core-dump debugging experience.
• Experience using AI‑assisted coding tools (Claude).
• Understanding of multi‑threading and memory ordering.
• Enjoyment of refactoring, algorithms, and code improvement.
• Basic experience with Python (Desirable).
• Familiarity with financial markets, FIX or low‑latency networking (Desirable).
• Experience with Valgrind, gprof, perf, or similar tools (Desirable).

As a member of the Service Reliability team, you will focus on the evolution and optimization of a high‑performance core trading platform. You will balance the maintenance of legacy systems with the engineering of high‑impact performance and memory optimizations using C++17 and Data‑Oriented Design.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering improvements and optimizations for existing performance and memory bottlenecks
• Build and integrate tools to improve telemetry, logging, and real‑time monitoring of the core trading platform
• Work closely with other engineers to design and apply systems‑level design patterns

Essential Experience

• Substantial professional experience with C++17 or higher
• Software development from the perspective of data‑oriented design
• Proficiency with Linux at a systems‑level for developing real‑time software (lock‑free and wait‑free design patterns)
• GDB core‑dump debugging experience
• Experience utilizing AI‑assisted coding tools (Claude code)
• Understanding of multi‑threading and memory ordering concepts
• Enjoyment of refactoring, algorithms, and general code‑improvement

Desirable Experience

• Basic experience with Python
• Familiarity with financial markets, exchange protocols (FIX), or low‑latency networking
• Experience with Valgrind, gprof, perf, or similar performance analysis tools
