Job summary

Trading Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Ahmedabad/GiftCity to join the Funded Development (NRR) POD. You will drive enhancements across OC and Price Team, and contribute to risk components and FA services with focus on low-latency backend systems.

You’ll write high-quality C++ in a real-time environment, collaborate with multiple engineering teams, and own code quality from design through production support, mentoring peers along the way.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of extensive C++ development experience.
• Expertise in building low-latency, high-performance trading infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of multi-threaded and distributed systems; Python is a plus.

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Software Engineer to join our Funded Development (NRR) POD. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives on variety and complexity. As a key member of the NRR team, you will primarily drive enhancements and customizations within our Order Connectivity (OC) and Price Team ecosystems.

Beyond these core areas, you will act as a flexible engineering resource, contributing to supporting infrastructure such as Risk components, FA services, and other critical backend systems as business needs evolve. You will build low-latency, high-performance solutions that empower professional derivatives traders worldwide using our state-of-the-art trading platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Development: Code day-to-day in C++ within a real-time, multi-threaded, low-latency software architecture.
• System Enhancement: Design and implement complex software for exchange gateways, market data management, and price generation systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across various engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions for pricing and order routing.
• Reliability & Performance: Ensure the highest level of system stability and scalability; perform memory management analysis and performance tuning for high-frequency trading conditions.
• Full Lifecycle Ownership: Take ownership of code quality through detailed code reviews, automated unit testing, and integration testing.
• Production Support: Analyze stack traces, core dumps, and incident reports to troubleshoot and propose fixes for existing trading systems during the on call rotas.
• Leadership & Documentation: Write high-level design documents and mentor junior engineers to foster technical growth within the POD.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of extensive development experience in C++, ideally utilizing modern standards like C++11 through C++20.
• High-Performance Domain: Proven expertise in building low-latency, high-performance systems, particularly within trading infrastructure or financial market data feeds would be a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of multi-threaded and distributed systems, including synchronization, concurrency, and C++ template programming. Working knowledge of core python is a plus
• Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with trading industry protocols (e.g., FIX, message framing) and market dynamics would be an asset.
• Tools & Environment: Proficient with Linux and debugging/profiling tools such as GDB, Address Sanitizer, or other performance optimization techniques.
• Versatility: Ability to adapt and contribute to various components including Risk and FA services as required.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
