Job summary

Bold is seeking a versatile Full Stack Engineer to own end-to-end development from idea to production. You will work across our stack, partner with Product, and own meaningful initiatives from concept to launch.

The Platform services team builds scalable microservices with technologies like .Net, Python, Java, SQL Server, MySQL, Graph DB, SOLR. You will design scalable automation, web scraping, and data processing solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python with text processing and web scraping.
• Solid understanding of OOP, encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism.
• Knowledge of common design patterns (Singleton, Factory, Observer).
• Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures for software development.
• Experience with modern browsers, HTTP, and browser APIs for scraping and automation.
• Experience with caching technologies (Redis, in-memory).
• Experience with messaging protocols (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across time zones.
• Knowledge of AWS or Microsoft Azure.

In this role, you will work end-to-end across our stack, partner closely with our Product team, and take ownership of meaningful initiatives from concept to launch.

About this Team

BOLD Platform services team design, creates, manage and maintains the highly scalable and distributed services for the wider use of web and mobile product applications/portals/websites. The current list of services is based on Microservices architecture whose domain ranges from visitor tracking, User profiles, authentication, content and payments.

Platform team uses state of the art modern technologies like .Net framework, Python, Java, SQL Server, My SQL, Graph DB, SOLR, and a lot of other tools & technologies serving millions of users with hundreds of million transactions everyday through a scalable and fault tolerant architecture.

What you'll do

• Design and architect scalable and robust enterprise-level automation applications using Python.
• Develop applications that run on PODs (Kubernetes), ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Debug complex issues in applications and devise solutions that enhance stability andperformance.
• Identify performance bottlenecks within applications through profiling and metrics analysis.
• Optimise existing code to improve performance and efficiency, ensuring the system can handle high traffic loads.
• Utilize automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Chromium, and stealth browser for web automation tasks.
• Implement message handling to facilitate communication between different services.
• Develop web scraping solutions to gather and process data from various online sources.
• Analyze and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Review and enhance code quality through thorough testing and code reviews.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating best practices in to the development process.
• Document architecture, design choices, and implementation details for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards throughout the application lifecycle.

What you'll need

• Strong programming skills in Python like expertisein string manipulation and regularexpression to effectively handle and process the text data during web scrapping and automation tasks.
• Deep understanding of OOP principles, including encapsulation, inheritance, andpolymorphism, to design robust andmaintainable software systems.
• Knowledge of common design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Observer) to enhance systemdesign, imprve code reusability, and implement best practices in software architecture.
• Solid foundation in algorithms (sorting, searching, parsing) and data structures (lists,dictionaries, trees) to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively during software development.
• Good understanding of how modern browsers function, including rendering engines, JavaScriptengines, HTTP protocols, and browser APIs. Experience optimizing scraping strategies based onbrowser behaviour and performance.
• Experience with caching technologies (e.g. Redis, in-memory caching)
• Experience with messaging protocols (e.g. Azure service bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• working knowledge and proven experience in containerization using Docker.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across time zones
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of cloud computing, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
