Job summary

DevOn is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in OpenEdge development and JavaScript-based web applications. You will design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical solutions related to bookkeeping, project management, and system integrations in hosted and on-prem environments.

You will design, implement, and optimize using OpenEdge 12.2/12.8, Progress ABL, Oracle, and SQL databases, while leading problem-solving and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in OpenEdge 12.2/12.8 and Progress ABL (4GL).
• Solid JavaScript development experience.
• Strong database experience with OpenEdge DB, Oracle, and/or SQL Server.
• Experience developing and supporting web-based applications.
• Experience with application integrations and interfacing. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using OpenEdge 12.2/12.8 and JavaScript.
