OpenEdge Database Administrator + Remote

Position Overview
As a Progress OpenEdge Developer, you will work with our Multipub product, designing and implementing projects and new client deployments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL (Advanced Business Language)
• Design, code, test, and debug complex programs
• Implement database design and modifications using Progress Database
• Collaborate with our Product team to translate requirements into technical specifications
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation
• Support the migration of legacy systems to modern architectures
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Progress OpenEdge Development (Version 11.x or higher)
• Strong proficiency in Progress ABL/4GL programming
• Experience with Progress Database administration and performance tuning
• Familiarity with source control systems
• Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Progress Dynamics/WebSpeed
• Experience with WinForms
• Familiarity with Docker containerization
