Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an experienced networking engineer to contribute to next-gen Access and Aggregation deployments, Metro and Mobile Backhaul. This onsite role requires close collaboration with product management, system and solution test teams to ensure the delivered platforms meet premium quality standards and customer expectations.

We expect 8–15 years in router/switch environments, deep knowledge of Router/Switch architecture, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8–15 years of experience in router/switch environments.
• Strong knowledge of Router/Switch architecture and related protocols.
• Experience with Broadcom ASICs like Qumran/Jericho is desirable.
• Experience troubleshooting real customer deployments and complex lab topologies.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for product development of platforms for Access and Aggregation Deployments, Metro, Mobile Backhaul with JunOS/Junos EVO.
• You will collaborate with product management, system and solution test teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• You will coordinate with Juniper TAS for engineering support on critical customer escalations.

What you’ll do

• You will be responsible for product development of cutting-edge platforms for next gen Access and Aggregation Deployments, Metro, Mobile Backhaul with JunOS or Junos EVO software architecture.
• In addition to the development activity, you are required to work closely with product management, system, and solution test teams to ensure products/solutions delivered are of the highest quality.
• You will be required to work closely with Juniper Technical Assistance Team for providing engineering assistance in supporting critical customer escalations for customer deployments.

What You Need To Bring

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Around 8 - 15 years of experience, preferably in a router/switch company.

Knowledge And Skills

• What you need to bring:
• Good knowledge of Router/Switch architecture.
• Prior work experience in any one of the domains:
• L3 Forwarding, MPLS/L3VPN, L2VPN, EVPN, SR-MPLS, SRv6, GRE
• Understanding of system architecture for network processor-based products
• Experience in design/development of forwarding software
• Prior experience with Broadcom ASICs like Qumran/Jericho is highly desirable
• Experience in trouble‑shooting problems in actual customer network deployments or in complex lab topologies will be a plus
• Strong Coding and debugging skills with extensive experience in core file analysis
• A strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices is desirable.
