Job summary

NeST Digital in Bengaluru (India) seeks a Senior SW Test Engineer to own product quality for SW products developed in CARIn by crafting test strategies, creating and executing tests, and reporting defects. You will work under the SWQA team, collaborating with Test Leads to boost QA efficiency and expand test automation coverage.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in manual testing, strong knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and hands-on experience with test management tools

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Manual testing.
• Experience in device and desktop SW applications testing is must.
• Deep understanding of Software testing life cycle, methodologies and QA procedures.
• Self-driven and committed to quality; able to analyze complex test scenarios and craft quality test cases.
• Strong knowledge in testing skills (design test plan/strategy, write/execute/test cases, open/verify bugs).
• Experience in test management and defect management tools (ADO, ALM, JIRA, TFS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for the Product Quality of specific SW Products developed in CARIn by creating test strategy, test creation, test execution and bug reporting.

Senior SW Test Engineer

This role will be responsible for the Product Quality of specific SW Products developed in CARIn by creating test strategy, test creation, test execution and bug reporting. This role will report to Test Lead / Test Managers within the SWQA team and along with them, will seek to improve quality assurance by exploring new technologies, use modern test tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness and continuously work on increasing test automation coverage.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Having 7+ years of experience in Manual testing.


• Experience in device and desktop SW applications testing is must.


• Must have a deep understanding of Software testing life cycle, Software testing methodologies and QA procedures


• Must be self-driven and committed to quality. Should be able to analyse complex test scenarios and should be able to come with quality test cases to meet the quality goals.


• Must have strong knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)


• Experience in test management and defect management tools e.g. ADO, ALM, JIRA, TFS or other similar tools.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Work on multiple projects concurrently and be able to prioritize tasks and set expectations.


• Healthcare domain experience is essential.


• Experience on DICOM/PACS is a plus.

Qualifications

• The minimum necessary qualification is a bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field.


• Total work experience of 7 plus years in the software industry with experience in testing Device, Desktop, Web, mobile and API software


• Knowledge of test planning and execution, test methodologies and tools are required.


• Test management and test automation experience in various types of software including web-based, cloud-based, and mobile app software is expected.


• Test management experience in healthcare software is desirable.


• ISTQB certification is required; additional relevant certifications, such as Microsoft certifications, will be considered an added advantage.
