Job summary

NeST Digital in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to own desktop automation for CARIn software, designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and ensuring hardware-software integration.

The role involves expanding test automation coverage, integrating test suites with Azure Pipelines, and collaborating with development teams to resolve defects while following STLC and Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software testing with desktop and web applications.
• Experience with test planning, execution, methodologies and tools.
• Desirable: healthcare software testing experience and exposure to healthcare domain.
• ISTQB or MS certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated testing frameworks for Windows desktop applications.
• Develop automation scripts using C#/.NET and tools like FlaUI/Test Complete/Squish.
• Integrate and execute automation suites using Azure Pipelines.

Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for the Product Quality of specific SW Products developed in CARIn by designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, bridges hardware-software integration, and manages traceability matrices to guarantee patient safety and product reliability.

This role will be responsible for the Product Quality of specific SW Products developed in CARIn by designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, bridges hardware-software integration, and manages traceability matrices to guarantee patient safety and product reliability.

This role will report to Test Lead / Test Managers within the SWQA team and along with them, will seek to improve quality assurance by exploring new technologies, use modern test tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness and continuously work on increasing test automation coverage.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Having 7+ years of experience in desktop automation
• Hands‑on experience in automation testing using C#/.NET framework and FlaUI/Test Complete/Squish.
• Very Good Experience in Desktop Automation Testing is a must. Experience in Medical Device Software is a plus.
• Good knowledge on hybrid automation Framework development and code versioning tools.
• Experience with test frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, or xUnit.
• Good Knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques & methodologies and a better understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Develop automation frameworks for Windows desktop applications.
• Integrate and execute automation suites using Azure Pipelines.
• Manage source code using Azure Repos (Git).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
• Prepare test cases, test scripts and test data.
• Report defects and assist in their understanding.
• Analyse test results and track software testing deliverables
• Prepare and present test reports
• Strong knowledge on testing concepts and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• The minimum necessary qualification is a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field.
• Total work experience of 7+ years in the software industry with experience in testing desktop and web applications.
• Knowledge of test planning and execution, test methodologies and tools are required.
• Test management experience in healthcare software is desirable.
• Exposure to Healthcare domain is preferred.
• Any certifications done, viz., ISTQB, MS certification, etc., will be of added value.
