Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (iOS) for the Sports Tech Team in Bangalore. You will independently ship high-quality features across iOS systems, driving clarity by solving problems proactively and owning long-term code health.

The role involves building scalable, low-latency sports content delivery, participating in Agile ceremonies, and mentoring teammates to improve efficiency. Strong Swift/SwiftUI skills are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Swift and SwiftUI with production apps

Meet Our Team:

WBD Sports encompasses a wide range of sports brands and channels, reaching over 130 million people monthly in more than 200 markets and 20+ languages. Our key brands include Bleacher Report, Eurosport and TNT Sports. WBD Sports offers a comprehensive coverage of major sports events, like the Olympics in Europe, tennis Grand Slams and road cycling Grand Tours (e.g. Tour de France) across various platforms including TV and streaming services like Max and Discovery+.

Roles \& Responsibilities:

• Independently ship high-quality, complex features across one or more production iOS systems as a recognized subject-matter expert, helping drive clarity by defining problems proactively.
• Devise solutions from limited information and precedent, using sound judgment to drive implementations autonomously with work reviewed at critical points.
• Build and maintain highly available, low-latency systems that serve sports content to customers in production, and own the long-term health of your code, monitoring, alerting, and documentation.
• Integrate service health, monitoring, alerting and documentation capabilities in parallel to your software development deliverables.
• Influence peers persuasively through code and design reviews, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and adjacent teams, adapting your style to different audiences.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies with strong ownership of work throughout the sprint, while helping create an inclusive and supportive engineering culture.
• Help newcomers become productive with the team’s processes and optimize team mechanisms to drive efficiency.
