Job summary

Docusign is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (P4) for iOS to scale the Intelligent Agreement Management platform. You will lead the technical design of major mobile features, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams.

Hybrid work with in-office expectations. Requirements include 7+ years in software, 5+ years in native iOS apps with Swift, MVVM or Clean Architecture, and strong testing practices.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in cloud, SaaS, or enterprise software environments.
• 5+ years specifically building production native iOS applications and reusable libraries in Swift backed by cloud APIs.
• Demonstrated experience applying modern iOS architecture patterns (such as MVVM or Clean Architecture) and writing comprehensive unit and functional tests.
• Hands-on experience with Xcode, CI/CD automation, dependency management, and publishing apps to the App Store.
• Proven track record of delivering complex technical initiatives iteratively within an Agile team environment.

Responsibilities

• Feature and SDK Development: Design, build, and maintain complex, high-performance native iOS app features and modular SDK components using Swift.
• Architecture and Design: Drive technical design discussions, author technical specification documents, and ensure codebase modularity, scalability, and maintainability.
• Engineering Excellence: Set high standards for code quality through rigorous code reviews, unit and UI testing, and continuous integration practices.
• Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, and backend platform teams to translate product requirements into robust iOS solutions.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Guide and mentor mid-level and junior engineers, fostering technical growth and sharing best practices across the team.
• Process and Pipeline Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in development workflows, build systems, or testing, and implement proactive solutions to improve velocity.
• Platform Evolution: Stay informed on Apple platform developments, Swift language updates, and iOS design trends, incorporating modern tools and frameworks where appropriate.

What you’ll do

Docusign’s Mobile Engineering team is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (P4) to build and scale our Intelligent Agreement Management platform on iOS. Docusign is moving beyond e-signatures to make agreements smarter, faster, and more connected across their entire lifecycle. Our team supports complex enterprise use cases while maintaining the world-class usability consumers expect from top App Store applications. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the technical design of major mobile features and reusable SDK modules using your deep Swift expertise. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams while mentoring mid-level engineers to elevate the overall team. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Director, Engineering.

Job Designation

Hybrid

Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

• Strong proficiency with modern Swift paradigms (such as Async/Await and Combine) alongside deep experience in both SwiftUI and UIKit
• Working knowledge of Objective-C for maintaining and modernizing existing framework components
• Experience with enterprise mobile security standards, including OAuth/SSO integration, secure storage, and data encryption
• Active involvement in the iOS community, such as tech blogging, open-source contributions, or conference speaking
