Electrolux is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test based in Bangalore, India, to lead end‑to‑end test automation for CRM, AI, ERP, and service operations across multiple regions. The role emphasizes collaboration with senior stakeholders and driving high‑quality automation in a fast‑paced SAFe environment.

You will develop and maintain automation frameworks, scripts across UI/API/database layers, and support CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Docker, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in at least one programming language: ReactJs, Next.js, .NET, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience testing/developing APIs.
• Experience testing order fulfillment for ecommerce with SAP Commerce (ccv2) and SAP ECC SD/MM.
• Proven ability to build test frameworks, automation, and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps; Docker experience.
• Agile environment experience; capable independent contributor with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and maintenance of the test automation framework for scalability and cross‑platform compatibility.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation scripts across UI, API, database, and mobile/desktop layers.
• Define test strategy with QA leads; ensure automation is integrated into CI/CD and supports continuous testing.
• Regularly execute automated tests, analyze results, and troubleshoot failures with quick fixes.
• Mentor junior engineers on automation best practices and version control.
• Document tests and maintain test coverage/status in Jira, TestRail, or similar tools.

All about the role

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will take part in end‑to‑end test automation activities for major initiatives across multiple regions, such as CRM, Contact Center, AI, and Service Operations rollouts. You will be responsible for supporting with test automation solutions, from development through to technical go‑live. Your role will involve interacting with senior leaders and stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams, and driving timely, high‑quality test automation.

About the CDI Experience Organization

The Consumer Direct Interaction Experience Organization is a Digital Product Organization responsible for delivering tech solutions to our end‑users and consumers across both pre‑purchase and post‑purchase journeys. We are organized in 15+ digital product areas, providing solutions ranging from contact center, e‑commerce, marketing, and identity to AI. You will play a key role in ensuring the right sizing, right skillset, and core competency across these product areas.

What you’ll do

• Framework Development: Contribute to, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework by adding new capabilities and improving maintainability. Ensure the framework supports scalability, modularity, and cross‑platform compatibility. Be ready to jump into unknown areas and quickly implement the most suitable solutions.
• Test Script Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusable test automation scripts. Work with different application layers: UI, API, database, and possibly mobile or desktop apps. Implement and maintain utilities and test libraries. If required, support developers with unit tests.
• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with QA leads and developers to define what to automate, when, and how. Ensure test automation is integrated in the CI/CD pipeline and supports continuous testing.
• Test Execution & Maintenance: Regularly run automated tests and analyze results. Identify and troubleshoot test failures, escalating issues when needed. Maintain and update existing test cases and CI/CD pipelines as applications evolve.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Investigate test failures and identify root causes - whether it’s a test issue, application defect, or environment problem. Provide quick and effective fixes or workarounds.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product owners to ensure alignment on testing objectives. Mentor junior team members on automation best practices and tool usage.
• Code Quality & Version Control: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient automation code. Perform code reviews for junior engineers and provide constructive feedback. Ensure adherence to automation coding standards and version control practices.
• Test Data & Environment Handling: Set up or manage basic test data for automated runs. Run tests across different environments and report inconsistencies.
• Documentation: Document automated tests and provide clear test case descriptions. Keep test coverage and automation status updated in tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.

Who are you?

• Experience & Expertise: Hands‑on experience in at least one of the following programming languages: ReactJs, Next.js, .NET, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Kotlin.
• Hands‑on experience testing/developing APIm
• Desired hands‑on experience testing order fulfillment for e‑commerce with main focus on SAP Commerce (ccv2) and SAP ECC SD/MM
• Proven experience in building test frameworks, application development, and building applications, working with Git. Solid experience with API automation testing, microservices solutions, and setting up CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or similar. Great experience with Docker or similar.
• Agile methodology: Experience in working in an Agile environment and comfortable in dynamic settings and requirements. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and are an independent contributor with no support required to drive assigned tasks forward with precision and efficiency.
• Communication & Collaboration: Proficient in cross‑functional communication with a demonstrated ability to facilitate team communication and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with the latest development tools and processes, DevOps practices, and cloud solutions like Azure, AWS, or similar; Robot Framework; Selenium Grid; and reporting tools like Grafana, Report Portal, or similar.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for automation improvement or technical debt reduction. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging practices.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
