All about the role

The Head Of India Electronic Centre is responsible for establishing and scaling a strategic offshore engineering hub supporting the Appliance Electronics & Platforms organization. The center will focus primarily on testing activities, leveraging a hybrid workforce composed predominantly of engineering consultants hosted at a partner technology company location, complemented by a small number of internal Electrolux leaders ensuring technical direction and cultural alignment.

This role combines software development and software engineering leadership, operational governance, and vendor management, ensuring the offshore center delivers high-quality engineering outcomes while maintaining strong alignment with Electrolux technology standards, processes, and culture.

The Head of India Design Center will oversee the growth of the center, manage delivery performance, monitor operational efficiency and costs, and ensure the successful establishment of local testing infrastructure and engineering capabilities. The role requires regular presence at the India site to build strong relationships with engineering teams, partners, and internal stakeholders while acting as a bridge between the offshore organization and the global Appliance Electronics & Platforms leadership.

What you’ll do

• Build and Head Of India Electronic Centre scale the India Design Center Establish and grow a high to join us on our performing offshore engineering center supporting software development and verification. Define the center’s operating model, capabilities, and growth roadmap in alignment with global engineering priorities. Ensure the organization scales efficiently while maintaining strong engineering quality and delivery performance.
• Govern Vendor and Partner Delivery Supervise the relationship with the technology consulting partner hosting the engineering teams. Ensure delivery commitments, engineering quality standards, and productivity expectations are consistently met. Drive transparent governance mechanisms covering performance, staffing levels, delivery outcomes, and financial efficiency.
• Ensure Engineering Excellence Ensure development and testing activities executed at the India Design Center align with Electrolux engineering processes, quality standards, and architecture guidelines. Support the adoption of internal development methodologies, tools, and engineering practices. Promote strong collaboration between offshore engineering teams and global development teams.
• Act as Cultural and Organizational Bridge Ensure the offshore engineering center maintains strong alignment with Electrolux culture, engineering practices, and product knowledge. Support the integration of local teams into global engineering programs and product development initiatives. Facilitate communication and collaboration between offshore teams and global product development organizations.

Who Are You

• You are an experienced engineering leader (10+ experience in tech leadership) with a strong background in global software development organizations and offshore delivery models.
• You combine technical understanding with operational leadership, enabling you to scale engineering capabilities while maintaining quality, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
• You are comfortable working in multi-cultural environments, managing vendor relationships, and driving performance across distributed teams
• You understand how to build trust and engagement across geographically distributed organizations while maintaining strong governance and accountability.

Where you'll be

This is a full-time position; the base location is in India in a location still to be defined and it requires presence in the center at least 2 weeks per months in the initial period. (to fine-tuned in the prosecution of the development of the center).

Regardless of the chosen location, you will be part of a dynamic international team where English is the natural language.
