Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a senior software professional to design and deliver scalable ORMB solutions. You will lead architecture decisions, implement high-quality code, and mentor engineers across product teams.

The role emphasizes AI/ML integration, cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern API design (REST/GraphQL) within a fast-paced environment focused on health tech.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of ORMB software development experience.
• Experience in leveraging AI/ML in software solutioning.
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying complex software systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of latest AI capabilities - RAG , Agentic Development , Gen AI.
• Knowledge of Java.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and API design (REST, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Software Design & Architecture - Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software systems.

• Coding & Development - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Lead by example in coding best practices and standards.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance - Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Mentor junior developers through constructive feedback.
• Testing & Debugging - Develop and maintain unit, integration, and system tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs and performance issues.
• Project Leadership - Lead technical projects from conception to deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements.
• Mentorship & Team Development - Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with QA, DevOps, UX/UI, and product teams.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Propose and implement improvements to development processes and tools.
• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements
