Job summary

Insurity's Next Senior Software Engineer role invites you to join our global development team to own development items from technical design through implementation for the Bridge Suite, an end-to-end core platform used by insurers for policy administration, billing and claims. You will collaborate with U.S.

and India-based teammates to build enterprise solutions, write unit tests, follow coding standards, and contribute to documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on expertise in ASP.NET Forms / ASP.NET, C# .NET Framework, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Deep proficiency with SQL Server, including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, data maintenance, and performance-oriented database development.
• Experience with SOAP/REST APIs and multi-page web applications in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes.
• Design solutions to problems/defects independently.
• Collaborate in team design sessions for large-scale development.
• Understand and develop use cases to support business cases for technical items.
• Follow Insurity standards for coding, documentation and impact assessments.
• Provide in-depth technical troubleshooting and defect remediation for complex problems.
• Develop technical documentation for software solutions for targeted audiences, including external customers.
• Develop solutions for moderately complex problems and enhancements solo or with a small team.
• Estimate projects and solutions of simple to moderate complexity.
• Write code and unit tests per Insurity standards for simple enhancements and bug fixes.
• Develop unit tests for code changes and use cases.
• After 18 months: Partner with QA to identify impact and assist test case development.
• Comment code and create impact assessment documents.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Join our global development team as a .NET Developer supporting the Insurity Bridge Suite, an end-to-end core system for specialty line insurers across policy administration, billing, and claims management. In this role, you will take ownership of development items from technical design through implementation, while ensuring quality, performance, maintainability, and supportability. You will collaborate closely with U.S. and India-based teammates to build and enhance enterprise solutions that support product configuration, integrations, data maintenance, and customer-facing workflows across the Bridge platform.

Responsibilities

• Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes.
• Design solutions to problems/defects independently.
• Participate in team design sessions for large-scale development.
• Able to understand and develop use cases to supplement business cases for technical development items.
• Follows Insurity standards for coding, documentation and impact assessments.
• Provides in-depth technical troubleshooting and defect remediation for reported problems requiring a high degree of technical expertise.
• Develop technical documentation for software solutions for targeted audience, which may include external customers.
• Develop solutions for moderately complex problems and enhancements individually or leading a small team.
• Estimate projects and solutions of simple to moderate complexity.
• Write code and unit tests according to Insurity standards, following an approved technical solution, for simple enhancements and bug fixes.
• Develop unit tests for code changes and assigned use cases.

• Able to comment code.
• Create an impact assessment doc.
• Stay up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on expertise in ASP.NET Forms / ASP.NET, C# .NET Framework, JavaScript, and jQuery, along with solid experience in enterprise application development.
• Deep proficiency with SQL Server, including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, data maintenance, and performance-oriented database development.
• Comfortable working with SOAP services, REST-based APIs, supporting multi-page web applications in a product engineering environment.
