RX Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I in Chennai to design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and interactive dashboards. You will work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, develop data models, and optimise DAX measures, while integrating Power BI with SQL Server, Oracle, and other sources.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure proper data structures and datasets, apply data security (RLS), and publish reports to Power BI Service.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of commercial experience developing Power BI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI including Desktop, Service, and data modelling.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle, including query tuning and optimization.

is developing the skills of mentoring more junior members of the team and works with others to talk to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and interactive dashboards.* Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.* Develop and maintain data models within Power BI using appropriate modelling techniques.* Develop and optimise DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables.* Develop and optimise Power Query transformations using M.* Connect Power BI to a range of data sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, APIs, and other business systems.* Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure appropriate data structures and datasets are available for reporting requirements, including demonstrating advanced-level SQL troubleshooting capabilities.* Develop and maintain reusable datasets, semantic models, and reporting solutions.* Implement appropriate data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting.* Apply Row-Level Security (RLS) and other Power BI security features where required.* Publish, manage, and maintain reports and datasets within Power BI Service.* Support Power BI workspaces, apps, scheduled refreshes, and deployment processes.* Troubleshoot report, data refresh, performance, and connectivity issues.* Optimise Power BI reports and data models to improve performance and usability.* Use Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, and incremental refresh across multiple semantic models.* Implement and manage Power BI gateways, including associated configurations and data sources within Power BI Service.* Work closely with the support team to quickly troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues raised in the Production environment.* Apply Microsoft Fabric capabilities to support effective capacity management and configuration management.* Contribute to solution design using Microsoft Fabric features and capabilities.* Ensure dashboards and reports follow consistent visualisation and design standards.* Maintain source code and Power BI development assets using GitHub and follow version control best practices.* Produce technical and user documentation for developed Power BI solutions.* Support users with Power BI
