Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions – Data Services is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build modern web applications using React and Python. You will develop RESTful APIs with FastAPI, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to AI-powered software development initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and thrive in a collaborative environment, with exposure to Generative AI and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and modern API development frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Solid experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and modern software development practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience building modern web applications using React and Python. The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development skills, experience building RESTful APIs with Fast API, and a passion for solving complex business challenges. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, and a strong interest in Generative AI and AI-powered software development.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using React and Python.


• Build and support RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI.


• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and modern API development frameworks such as Fast API.


• Solid experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.


• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and modern software development practices.


• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases with Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.


• Demonstrated ownership and the ability to work independently when needed.


• Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, or AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerized deployments with Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
