Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in Mumbai is seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to the design, development, and improvement of our backend products. You will work across multiple systems, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to translate user needs into scalable technical solutions.

You will mentor teammates, shape engineering best practices, and help drive delivery in a fast-paced squad environment. Strong Java, Spring Boot and cloud experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevance experience and good to have lead experience.
• Familiarity with Agile or other software development methodologies.
• Strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
• Understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and various storage solutions.
• Experience with test-driven development, debugging, and designing system components.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical teams to clarify and finalize requirements.
• Design and develop complex backend components and services.
• Review code, contribute to design documents, and ensure high technical quality.
• Resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement.
• Work across different development environments (e.g., Agile).
• Research new technologies and bring ideas to improve the product.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing. Contribute to data modeling and architecture discussions.
• Perform debugging and implement fixes for complex issues. Participate in collaborative problem-solving and cross-team communication.
• Take on other related tasks as needed to support the team and product.
