Job summary

Xplor seeks a senior full-stack software engineer to design and build in a multi-tenant SaaS setting, leveraging Python, Django, and Ember. You will work in a globally distributed, remote environment and be encouraged to apply AI in daily tasks.

You will lead technical design initiatives, implement robust, scalable code, and troubleshoot complex defects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Python and Django for REST APIs and models.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and PR-based delivery.
• Docker-based local development experience.
• Experience writing robust tests.
• Willingness to utilize AI in day-to-day work.
• Experience with Redis, payments (Stripe), and AWS basics is a plus.
• Familiarity with OAuth/auth and feature flags is desirable.
• Frontend experience with Ember or modern SPA is a plus.

• PostgreSQL and comfort writing / reasoning about SQL
• Git / GitHub and PR-based delivery
• Use of Docker for local development
• Writing and maintaining robust tests
• Willingness to utilize AI in day-to-day work

Strongly preferred

• Redis and background jobs (queues, scheduled work)
• Payments / billing (Stripe or similar)
• AWS basics (S3, RDS, containers)
• Auth (sessions, OAuth, permissions)
• Use of Feature flags
• Frontend: Ember or another modern SPA (routing, data layer, forms, components)
• Debugging production issues from logs and stack traces

Nice to have

• Observability (Sentry, log platforms, tracing)
• E2E tests (Playwright or similar)
