Job summary

Mico is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable front-end and back-end systems in Bengaluru, India. The role combines architecture, development, and mentorship to ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery.

You will work with TypeScript, NestJS, React, SQL, and AWS, driving technical decisions and governance across projects while aligning with medium- to long-term business strategy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in system development or equivalent.
• 2+ years as a senior-level engineer leading development through technical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• System Design and Architecture: Design and build the architecture of front-end and back-end systems, balancing performance, scalability, security, operations, reliability, fault tolerance, and cost with an eye on medium- to long-term business strategy.
• Backend Development: Design, implement, mentor on, and review production backend code using TypeScript, NestJS, and an ORM, maintaining high code quality standards.
• Frontend Development: Design front-end code using TypeScript and React, and implement production code and automated tests.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and optimise databases, developing efficient database control (SQL, etc.) that balances load, performance, and flexibility.
• Cloud and Infrastructure: Design and improve architecture and operations on AWS, building systems that scale to handle large data volumes and high traffic.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to team members, support problem-solving, and determine the technical direction of projects.

Requirements

• Experience: 6+ years of working experience in system development or equivalent, including 2+ years as a senior-level engineer leading development through technical decision-making.
