Job summary

Quadric is seeking a senior compiler engineer to optimize the Quadric processor’s LLVM-based compiler and implement support for new architectural features. You will collaborate with hardware teams to align compiler strategy with architecture and build targeted LLVM passes.

The role demands strong C++ skills (C++11+), 5+ years of compiler experience, and hands-on LLVM/GCC knowledge. You will work on the Pune office with a focus on performance and end-to-end toolchain improvements.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science required; minimum five years of compiler experience.
• Proficiency in C++14/17+ (C++11+ standard) and modern C++ features.
• Experience with LLVM or GCC codebase.
• Strong background in graphs and related algorithms.
• Knowledge of front-end and back-end compiler techniques.

Quadric is redefining edge AI with the industry's first General Purpose Neural Processing Unit (GPNPU), enabling developers to run both neural network inference and conventional C++ code on a single programmable architecture. Our technology powers intelligent edge devices across automotive, industrial, robotics, and embedded systems.

The Opportunity

As a senior member of our Compiler team, you will be tasked with optimizing the performance of code running on the Quadric processor. You will be responsible for implementing required support of new processor architectural features. Additionally, you will be supporting internal/external customers.

What You'll Do

• Enhance the development of Quadric's LLVM compiler
• Collaborate on developing the programming model for Quadric's high-performance computing platform
• Collaborate with the hardware design team to co-optimize compiler strategy with hardware architecture
• Build custom front-end and back-end LLVM passes

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 6-12 months, you'll:

• Successfully support the development process across the Engineering team
• Optimize code generation to increase the performance of code running on the Quadric processor

What We're Looking For

Required

• MS or PhD in Computer Science with a minimum of five years of compiler experience
• Proficiency in C++ > 11
• Experience with LLVM or GCC codebase
• Strong background in graphs and related algorithms
• Knowledge of front-end and back-end compiler techniques

Preferred

• Experience in compiler strategies for data parallel processors such as GPUs, DSPs

• Knowledge of end-to-end toolchain, including compilers, linkers & debuggers
