Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize scalable Java-based web applications and RESTful services on Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across global locations, leveraging Spring Boot, SQL databases, and containerized deployments with Kubernetes.

The role emphasizes modern software engineering practices, AI/ML awareness, and full automation across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Experience with cross-functional and distributed teams in a global and diverse environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools and practices including Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized deployments. Knowledge of design patterns and secure coding practices.
• Deep expertise in modern software engineering practices including AI/ML/Generative AI, Agile methodologies, and DevOps to deliver daily product deployments using full automation from code check-in to production across the full SDLC lifecycle
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven background in healthcare (AI)
• Demonstrate collaborative skills to work effectively with diverse teams
