Overview

As part of our world‑class software engineering team, you will architect, design, develop, and support high‑scale features and infrastructures at LinkedIn. The role focuses on product design, usability, building APIs, user‑centric applications, business logic, scaling performance, and 24x7 reliability.

Work Location

Hybrid: Work from home and LinkedIn office on selected days as needed.

Responsibilities

• Scale distributed applications, apply synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with quality.
• Develop multi‑tier scalable, high‑volume, reliable user‑centric applications that operate 24x7.
• Produce high‑quality software that is unit‑tested, code‑reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
• Identify, leverage, and evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years experience programming in Java and/or C++.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years relevant work experience.
• Expert knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with object‑oriented design, coding, testing patterns, and programming languages (Java, C++).
• Proven coding skills in a high‑level language with interest and ability to learn other languages.
• Experience building web applications and services with IDEs and general development practices.
