Job summary

Cvent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – AI to join our AI team in Bengaluru. You will lead the development of high-impact AI-driven features across our platform and mentor engineers.

The role requires 5+ years of production software experience and 2+ years in AI/ML, strong backend design, and hands-on work with LLMs, embeddings, and GenAI. You will collaborate with product, design, QA, and SRE to deliver scalable, reliable AI systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems.
• 2+ years of experience building or operating AI/ML systems in production.
• Strong system design fundamentals and backend architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, GenAI systems, or multimodal AI pipelines.
• Experience with embeddings, vector databases, and RAG-based systems.
• Proficiency in backend technologies such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Strong debugging skills and experience operating production systems at scale.
• Proven ability to lead projects involving multiple engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex AI projects with ambiguous requirements, acting as the feature lead.
• Architect scalable, reliable AI systems that balance performance, cost, latency, and maintainability.
• Design and implement LLM-powered workflows, embeddings pipelines, and retrieval systems.
• Build production-grade backend services that power AI-driven customer experiences.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and SRE to deliver high-quality features.
• Improve observability, reliability, and output quality of AI systems in production.
• Provide strong code and design reviews, maintaining a high engineering quality bar.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers within the AI pod

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer– AI to join our AI team and lead the development of

high-impact AI-driven features across our platform. In this role, you will lead complex initiatives

involving 2–3 engineers, drive architectural decisions within your project scope, and deliver scalable, production-grade AI systems that power Goldcast’s content intelligence capabilities.

You’ll work on core AI initiatives such as:

• Automated clip and highlight generation
• AI-powered search and editing workflows
• Clip curator and homepage intelligence
• Blog/text generation from video
• AI output quality and evaluation systems

In This Role, You Will:
