Job summary

Cvent is seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our Data Team. The ideal candidate will contribute deep knowledge of Node.js, React, SQL, and experience building distributed microservices, CRM/API integrations, and analytics systems.

You should be a self-starter who can translate ambiguous requirements into scalable, high‑performance solutions and work with cross‑functional teams to design, build, maintain and support our SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of software engineering in production environments.
  • Proficiency with Node.js, React, and SQL.
  • Experience building scalable distributed microservices and enterprise backends.
  • Strong REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, and API security.
  • Experience on Azure or GCP.
  • Proficient English communication.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our Data Team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Node.js, React, SQL, and experience building distributed microservices, CRM/API integrations, and analytics/reporting systems. You should be a self-starter capable of taking ambiguous requirements and coming up with a viable solution. You should also be able to design scalable, high-performance solutions across our Integration and Analytics initiatives based on business priorities. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to design, build, maintain and support our Data Team platforms.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Design solutions to complex problems, that are flexible, robust, and take into account business needs.
  • Work with a modern Node.js, React, and SQL tech stack.
  • Build distributed microservices and REST APIs with secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0.
  • Develop optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting/data-processing logic for analytics and reporting systems.
  • Work with CRM integrations and external APIs to support data synchronization and workflow automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across cloud-hosted distributed services and data pipelines.
  • Be communicative and reliable, so that others can depend on you.
  • Delivery of features, improvements, and fixes in a timely, predictable cadence.
  • Collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry to work on complex Software as a Service (SaaS) based applications.
Here’s What You Need:
Primary Skills:
  • Bachelor's+ in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in production environments.
  • Proficiency with Node.js, React, and SQL.
  • Experience building scalable distributed microservices and enterprise backend systems.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, and API security.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar relational databases and writing optimized complex SQL queries.
  • Experience using AI tools to deliver good quality solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to root cause and resolve complex production issues independently.
  • Hands‑on exposure to Azure or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, agile environment and result‑oriented culture.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with analytics/reporting platforms such as LOGI or similar BI/reporting tools.
  • Experience with Java/WebLogic-based API services.
  • Experience with Kibana, Grafana, ELK stack, or cloud monitoring/observability tools.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments.
