Job summary

FIS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Agentic AI Platforms, based in Bangalore with a hybrid work model (two days in-office, three days virtual). You will design scalable agentic workflows and building coding harnesses that connect AI agents with enterprise systems.

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Agentic AI Platforms, you will design sophisticated software solutions that improve how enterprise engineering teams plan, build, test and operate software. You will create coding harnesses, reusable libraries and automated workflows that connect artificial intelligence coding agents with development tools and business systems. You will influence architectural decisions while partnering with engineering, implementation and client-facing stakeholders. Your work will deliver scalable solutions, improve development efficiency and establish reliable patterns for AI-assisted engineering.

• Design scalable agentic workflows across software planning, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Build advanced coding harnesses, reusable libraries and integrations using Python and TypeScript, including Model Context Protocol servers and tools that securely connect agents with enterprise systems.
• Establish evaluation, automated testing and monitoring approaches for AI-generated code and workflows.
• Translate complex requirements into maintainable software designs and contribute to architectural decisions involving scalability, security, extensibility and long-term support.
• Coordinate complex development activities, lead technical troubleshooting, document architectures and operational procedures, and mentor engineers on agentic programming and software engineering practices.

What you bring

• Advanced software engineering skills using Python, TypeScript or comparable programming languages.
• Experience designing distributed applications, application programming interfaces, developer platforms or workflow automation systems.
• Experience building reusable libraries, coding frameworks or extensible integration components.
• Experience with cloud architecture, deployment, monitoring, maintenance and production support, supported by strong knowledge of automated testing, secure coding, code review and software quality practices.
• A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with the ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate effectively across functions.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or comparable artificial intelligence coding environments, or with developing agentic applications, coding agents or Model Context Protocol integrations.
• Knowledge of large language model evaluation, prompt design, tool calling and workflow observability.
• Experience delivering technical implementations or troubleshooting solutions directly with clients, with familiarity in security, privacy and compliance controls for enterprise artificial intelligence systems.
