Job summary

FIS is seeking a senior engineer to design and implement advanced agentic capabilities that scale the enterprise software lifecycle. You will create architectures, harnesses and reusable libraries enabling coding agents across complex environments.

Lead technical decisions, guide cross-functional delivery and promote reliable AI-assisted software practices. Collaborate with teams to accelerate secure, scalable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Expert software engineering across architecture, integration, testing and production operations.

• Experience leading complex software initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record building developer platforms, coding frameworks or automation libraries.

• Degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Resolve architecture, integration, debugging, performance and reliability challenges.
• Shape roadmaps aligning platform investments with engineering priorities.
• Lead code and design reviews to improve quality and security.
• Partner with client-facing teams to diagnose needs and deliver solutions.
• Mentor engineers and propagate best practices across teams.

About the Role

You will lead the design and implementation of advanced agentic engineering capabilities that scale the enterprise software development lifecycle. You will establish architectures, coding harnesses and reusable libraries that enable coding agents to work effectively across complex development environments. You will guide technical decisions, coordinate cross-functional delivery and help teams adopt reliable AI-assisted engineering practices. Success means creating durable platform capabilities, resolving undefined technical challenges and accelerating responsible software delivery.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead architecture and delivery of enterprise agentic workflows across the software development lifecycle.
• Establish technical patterns for coding agents, harnesses, reusable libraries and automated engineering workflows.
• Design secure Model Context Protocol servers and integration frameworks for enterprise tools and data.

What you will need

• Expert software engineering skills across application architecture, integration, testing and production operations.
• Advanced proficiency with Python, TypeScript or comparable languages used for platform development.
• Experience leading complex software initiatives involving multiple systems, teams and stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated success building developer platforms, coding frameworks, automation systems or reusable libraries.
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, distributed systems, APIs, security and software reliability.
• Ability to define technical standards and influence decisions without relying on direct authority.
• Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Added bonus if you have

• Advanced experience with agentic programming, coding agents or large language model application architecture.
• Experience developing Model Context Protocol servers, tools, registries or governance patterns.
• Knowledge of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or comparable AI engineering tools.
• Experience establishing evaluation, observability and safety controls for enterprise AI workflows.
• Client-facing engineering experience spanning implementation, technical discovery and complex troubleshooting.
• Experience contributing to long-term technology strategy or enterprise engineering standards.
