FlytBase is hiring a senior AI-native full-stack engineer in Pune, India. You will own end-to-end systems, building production-grade backend services and cloud architectures that power autonomous drone missions globally.

The Role

We're not looking for engineers who need a spec handed to them. We want senior, AI-native builders who can own systems end to end, from architecture decisions to production incidents, and who multiply the velocity of the team around them. This role is about building and scaling production-grade systems (backend services, cloud architecture, distributed pipelines) using AI copilots and modern dev stacks to unlock 10x velocity, while also raising the technical bar for everyone else. You'll make architecture calls, mentor other engineers, and ship software that powers live autonomous missions globally.

What You’ll Own

• Own Systems End to End Design, build, and scale microservices and APIs powering real-time drone operations, with full ownership from design through production.
• AI-Native Development Use Claude Code, Codex, and every relevant AI coding tool by default to write cleaner code, debug faster, and accelerate delivery, and help the team do the same.
• Architecture & Systems Thinking Make and defend architecture decisions across backend, cloud, integrations, and distributed systems. No rigid silos.
• Technical Leadership Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, review code for correctness and design quality, and set technical standards for the team.
• High-Velocity Execution Prototype fast, iterate with feedback, and ship production-ready features without sacrificing reliability.
• Cloud & Infra Own and evolve services deployed on AWS/GCP/Kubernetes that support global autonomous deployments.
• Cross-Team Engineering Partner closely with robotics, AI, and product teams to scope and build features end to end, and represent engineering in cross-functional decisions.

Best Suited For

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of owning systems in production.
• AI-First Engineer Someone who codes with AI tools by default, not occasionally, and has strong opinions on how to use them well.
• Strong Backend Fundamentals Deep grounding in DS/Algo, concurrency, API design, and building scalable, reliable services.
• Full-Stack Mindset Backend-heavy but comfortable touching UI, dashboards, or integrations when needed.
• Systems & Architecture Judgment Experience making build vs. buy, scaling, and design tradeoff calls, and living with the consequences.
• Outcome-Driven Builder You care about shipping value, not writing 500 lines of “perfect” code.
