Job summary

Baazi Games is seeking an SDE III – Backend to design, build, and own scalable backend systems. This hands-on role covers system design, production development, and technical ownership.

You will design and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures using Java and/or Node.js, with MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Kafka.

Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other teams; mentor junior engineers; and drive reviews to improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java or Node.js.
• Good understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP, Design Patterns, and System Design.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and database optimisation.
• Good understanding of caching, asynchronous processing, and messaging systems.
• Experience with AWS/cloud environments, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimisation skills.
