Job summary

Priceline is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend in Mumbai to join an Agile team that builds scalable Java-based services. You will work on low-latency transactional systems and REST APIs, while contributing to the data-driven evolution of our travel platform.

In this role you’ll mentor peers, shape engineering best practices, and collaborate with product and ops to deliver high-throughput systems on GCP. The hybrid model offers two days in-office and flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
• Exceptional coding experience with Java.
• Interest in mentoring and influencing best practices with less experienced developers.
• Strong SQL composition skills for queries and analysis.
• Proficiency with Spring Frameworks, Web Services and APIs.
• Experience on Cloud, especially GCP.
• Experience in Microservices, Kubernetes (GKE), and Docker.
• Proven ability in design and architecture of scalable, high-performance applications.

Who you are:
