Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript; SQL and relational databases.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer (Sr. Application Engineer) develops and delivers high-quality software solutions using Java and modern web technologies to support ERP and enterprise systems at HCA Healthcare. This role partners with cross‑functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable applications aligned with enterprise standards. The Engineer coordinates with a larger team of development resources to enforce processes and review output to ensure predictability and quality of deliverables. The candidate should have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software engineering principles, and experience designing and developing end-to-end enterprise solutions in an Agile/Lean development environment. This role provides key problem resolution for production systems and contributes to continuous improvement in development practices. The Engineer develops strong relationships across ITG and business teams, strategically designing and implementing solutions that meet enterprise needs. The candidate must be a highly motivated self‑starter committed to delivering high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
