Job summary

Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise software solutions using Java technologies. The role demands strong technical expertise across the SDLC.

The candidate will participate in design discussions, coding, reviews, and testing, and will develop and maintain software modules while adhering to standards. The position is based in-office with alternate Saturday work.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT) or MCA required.
• 2–4 years of relevant software development experience.
• Minimum 60% in academics.
• Strong Java development experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver software solutions using Java technologies.
• Participate in design discussions, coding, reviews, unit tests, system tests, and UAT.
• Develop and maintain modules following coding standards and quality processes.
• Troubleshoot, analyze logs, and optimize database queries.
• Prepare design/documents, test cases, deployment plans, and release notes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely project delivery.
• Support demos, POCs, deployments, and production issue resolution.

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality enterprise software solutions using Java technologies. The role requires strong technical expertise and experience across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions using Java, J2EE, SQL/Oracle.
• Participate in design discussions, coding, code reviews, unit testing, system testing, and UAT.
• Develop and maintain software modules while adhering to coding standards and quality processes.
• Perform troubleshooting, log analysis, and database query optimization.
• Prepare technical documents including design documents, test cases, deployment plans, and release documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
• Support client demos, POCs, deployments, and production issue resolution.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle Database.
• Good understanding of OOPs concepts, Design Patterns, SDLC, and Web Applications.
• Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT) or MCA
• Experience: 2-4 Years of relevant software development experience (internships not considered)
• Minimum 60% throughout academics
• Strong Java development experience is mandatory
